Bio:

Imran Ahmad is a Film Composer and Music Producer. His musical influences range from Indian and Middle Eastern to Western Orchestral and Electronica.

His musical ideas are inspired by ancient music, spirituality, cultural influence and collaborating with musicians from diverse cultural backgrounds.

Imran’s music has been broadcast on UK Television and Radio such as Channel 4, BBC 1, BBC 2 and BBC Radio One.

Earlier this year he was involved as musician and facilitator in the Arts Council Taking Part project that aimed to encourage and inspire individuals from across the community to participate in creative arts.

Imran recently completed music for a collection of short documentaries for Oxfam entitled Sisters On The Planet which premiered at The Prince Charles Cinema.

Current projects include working on a short film for UK Film Council entitled Father’s Footsteps with award winning director Ornette Spenceley, and developing a children’s audiobook entitled The Magic Mattress, a fantasy adventure that incorporates character voices, sound effects and orchestral music.

Future projects include working on two feature films: Little Birds - an offbeat romantic comedy about a synaesthete and the tales he weaves (directed by Steve Misiura) and One Heaven - an epic medieval tale set between England and the Middle East based on the legend of Sir Bevois of Hampton (directed by Mark J. Blackman).
