Bio:

Bobby Houston, Originally from Glasgow Scotland is a Singer/Songwriter and Performer. He was originally trained to sing in a Gospel choir but grew up listening to a diverse list of Artists including Metallica, Mariah Carey, The Eagles, Marvin Gaye and Fleetwood Mac to name a few. This created a rich and varied hunger for stylistic growth and musical diversity, constantly experimenting with different sounds, textures, and genres, he craved to set himself aside from his peers.

He then went on to train at the Princes trust Rock School which improved his art by questioning his desire to perform and write in a different way.

Throughout this Decade Bobby has written and recorded music within a mixture of genres from Pop/R & B to Soulful Rock but one consistency remained. His ability to write a song with abstract lyrics that push the envelope for other young artists in the music industry today.

He then flirted with the TV talent shows and despite getting far he decided this was not the right path for him and decided to focus on forming a band with original music.

He has written and performed on the acoustic scene before settling in his favourite Genre of Rock with his band Machartu. Machartu are currently recording their debut album which will be available in Spring/Summer 2009.
