Bio:

Born in August 1982 writer and director Bivas Dey grew up on the streets of south london where he quickly adapted and embraced the culture. Though educated in south London, he believes that he has learnt far more from the ‘realities’ on the streets than any school or academic institution. A keen learner and an Artiste straight from the heart, Bivas feels that there is simply much more to life than following conventions, “we should think outside of THIS world, not just the box. There’s so much to learn, that if people were more wide eyed they would realize the realties in this world.

The visual poet / artist has recently completed his debut short film Paradice with much acclaim from a wide audience. He himself will state that his films and concepts are based on the reflections on his and other peoples ‘realities’ but displayed in a positive way. He truly wants to broadcast and document what these realities are, covering societies underlying themes such as youth culture, poverty, crime, religion, life and especially the topics that affect the children growing up in today’s world. He has indeed blossomed from a turbulent background, and is a relevant voice in today’s world.
